Interdisciplinary Human Resources Education Center established

19th President, Jee, Byung-Moon, Inaugurated.

Expanded Education Development Institute- Renamed the Institute of Liberal Education.

Mar. 1
Law School and Medical School opened.

Yongji Hall opened.
Aug. 17
18th President, Yoon-soo Kim, inaugurated.

Student Residence Hall constructed by BTL project completed.
Sep. 18
Office of International Affairs and Office of Financial Management established.
Nov. 17
Chonnam National University Dental Hospital opened.

Mar. 1
Graduate School of Business Administration reorganized into Graduate School of Business.
2006
Mar. 1
Yeosu National University merged with CNU. College of Natural Sciences in Yeosu National University closed. College of Engineering and College of Humanities & Social Sciences at Yeosu campus reorganized into College of Engineering Sciences and College of Culture & Social Sciences, respectively. Graduate School of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences in Yeosu Campus and Graduate School of Culture opened.
2005

Department of Nursing Sciences promoted to College of Nursing. College of Dentistry closed and Graduate School of Dentistry established. Office of Student Affairs (Human Resource Development Center) and Office of Planning and Cooperation (Office of Public Relations) established.

Colleges of Home Economics, Agriculture, and Liberal Arts renamed as the Colleges of Human Ecology, Agriculture & Life Sciences, and Humanities, respectively. Social Education Center renamed as School of Lifelong Education. Dormitories renamed as student residence halls.
