President Jeong and Cho Sung-hee, the Chairperson of the CNU Alumni Association, visited the 31st Infantry Division (Division Commander: Major General So Young-min) on the afternoon of November 9th and delivered a plaque of appreciation. They also expressed gratitude for the devotion of the division to local defense as well as quarantine support for COVID-19 control to protect local communities.

The CNU Alumni Association also delivered 4 million KRW of condolence money to comfort the soldiers.

President Jeong said, "As a regional defense division, the 31st Division has taken the lead in protecting local residents in various disasters, so that we can continue our lives in stability. We also appreciate your support for the quarantine measures on the CNU campus and in the local communities.”

Division Commander So replied, “It is our due obligation to conduct protective measures for CNU and regional communities through preparation and daily training. We will continue our efforts to protect and support CNU and local residents.”

The 31st Division conducted quarantine and sterilization operations using sterilization spraying vehicles and specialized troops to quarantine the CNU campus three times since March, when the anxiety among students and faculty members was increasing due to the spread of COVID-19.
