CNU Anticipates Entry to the List of Top 10 Domestic Universities

CNU ranked 12th among domestic universities in the university assessment governed by the Center for World University Rankings, a non-profit college ranking organization located in Saudi Arabia. It also has been ranked 11th to 13th in the college assessment by various international evaluation bodies.

CNU has received especially higher results in the area of research capacity in the objective evaluation of international agencies and displayed a steady escalation in domestic rankings, which are positive signs for entry to the top 10 list.

Specifically, in the recently announced assessment results of CWUR 2019-2020, which evaluated 2,000 or more universities worldwide, CNU scored 74.7, which is 12th among domestic universities and 0.3 points lower than the score of the university that ranked 10th. 

CNU has been ranked the same for the three consecutive years as one of the three best national flagship universities. Even though it ranked 455th internationally, it ranked somewhat higher, at 428th internationally in the field of research capacity.
 
Previously, CNU ranked 13th among domestic universities, 2nd among national flagship universities, and 50th in Asia in the '2019 Asia Pacific’s best Innovative University' announced by Reuters. It ranked 14th among domestic universities and 55th in Asia last year. In particular, CNU scored 87.9% in the patent success rate, which compares the number of patent applications and rate of successful registrations. CNU scored higher than major universities with global prestige, such as Seoul National University, Tsinghua University, and Tokyo University.

In addition, CNU ranked 11th in Korea, 2nd among national flagship universities, and 428th in the world in the ‘National Taiwan University of Science and Technology Rankings’. Last year, it was 13th in Korea and 459th in the world. CNU ranked higher in the Agricultural Sciences and Natural Sciences’ fields from among the twenty-four different ranking categories.
