CNU started a new student culture campaign under the slogan of '#Greendays' to revitalize student culture and share university culture with the local communities. It is a program for citizens and students to enjoy a midsummer night out with movies and cultural events.

#Greendays slogan was developed by Professor Nam Ho-jung (Department of Design), the head of the Student Affairs Office. It stands for the color of CNU, which represents freshness and youth with a hashtag # for improvement.

CNU started this campaign with ‘# Greendays_Cinema,' a free screening of movies with messages of love and hope. Students and citizens can join the program, which started on August 23 and will be held every Friday in front of the Minjumaru, which is also an outdoor museum. A student film club will help the program by explaining the screenings and by providing points for plot analysis.

On the first day, the program distributed environmentally friendly paper chairs to participants to protect the lawn and promote recycling.

Eight movies will be screened until October through a 250-inch (5m x 3.5m) big screen except on rainy days or days with unfavorable weather, for which the program will change the date. Participants can bring non-alcoholic beverages and food.

CNU chose movies such as popular animation movies or movies for families and citizens through a survey of students’ preferences.

Professor Nam said, “The # Greendays campaign was developed to activate students’ culture and university culture, and to further promote CNU’s image of freshness and youth in local communities. CNU will provide more programs to share its culture with local communities”.
