Twenty-five CNU professors left the campus where they dedicated themselves for decades.

On August 30, CNU held a retirement ceremony at Yongbong Hall with about 100 people including twenty-five retired professors, their families, students, faculty, and staff. During the ceremony, President Jeong conferred a letter of honor and a government citation from President Moon Jae-in to retired professors including Professor Kim Su-young.

President Jeong said, “The retired professors have made their instruction heavenly, and have devoted their lives to research and teaching”. After expressing appreciation, he continued, “The sincerity and pride of our seniors have become a motivation for us to strive to uphold the great legacy left by them and achieve a hopeful future for this country”.

On behalf of the retired professors, Professor Cho In-sun left messages of gratitude, "We are grateful to CNU and our endearing students for giving us opportunities to contribute to the university and local communities. We were happy to be with them. We will leave behind things to be done to the following generation and pray for the development of CNU wherever we are".

At the retirement ceremony, students of the Department of Music played ‘Teacher’s Grace’ for a farewell performance, and Ulimtong, a folk guitar team consisting of former and current faculty members played 'I am a happy person,' which added a fresh vibe to the conventional farewell ceremony.
