College of Business Administration Developed a Dual-Degree (2+2) Program with the University of Texas at Dallas

- 2+2 Agreement Signed between UTD and CNU - The same kind of agreements will be signed with Fudan University, China and Osaka City University, Japan next year The College of Business Administration (Dean: Prof. Kang Ta-gu) at CNU launches a 2+2 double degree program with the University of Texas at Dallas, USA. After the recent visit of the CNU
s delegation to the UTD, two institutions signed an agreement on double degree program between the business administration colleges at two universities. For this program, two Colleges signed a cooperation pact. In this long-standing program, students spend two years at CNU, completing most of the requirements for a bachelor
s degree in one of the fields in business administration majors. Students apply to transfer to the UTD for the third and fourth years of the dual-degree program. If admitted, they complete requirements for a degree in a chosen specialty, and they also take any remaining courses for the UTD major. Upon completion of the program, the student receives two bachelor
s degrees from CNU and from Bloomfield College. The College of Business Administration at CNU will provide this 2+2 program for the freshmen of the 2005 academic year. In 2005, the College will select some applicants who want to participate in the program. From 2006, a quota of students to be admitted to the dual-degree program will be set up. The College already signed a pact for a 2+2 dual degree program with Bloomfield University in USA. They also have plans to make agreements for the academic exchanges and dual degree system with Fudan University in China and Osaka City University in Japan in September and November. They also contact with San Paul University in Brazil to strengthen the cooperation. Dean Kang Tae-koo of the College of Business Administration said, \"In order to cope with rapidly changing environments, we have developed this special program with foreign universities. Unlike the existing dual-degree programs offered before, our program will be directed jointly by two institutions. Students must enter the dual-degree program as first-semester freshmen, beginning their course work at CNU. The College will cooperate with other leading universities in Australia, Europe, or Southeast Asia.
