CNU received a grade of ‘A,’ which is the highest grade from the annual assessment for the type I (the Autonomous Contract Type) of the 2019 University Innovation Support Project, which is governed by the MOE.

As a result, CNU will receive 80 billion KRW, which is increased as much as 12 billion KRW from 68 billion KRW of last year.

In the evaluation, CNU received high scores across all the criteria for project results such as the performance and results of the project’s implementation, appropriate budget execution, contribution to a virtuous circle, and contribution to innovation and development of local communities. In particular, the project received excellent results since it developed an innovative structure for education by linking the strategies of the project with the university's mid-and long-term development plans, such as talent development, academic research, and mutual development.

Previously, in the first year of the project, CNU prepared the basis for the innovation of education by activating online classes through e-learning content development, establishing an integrated smart education system, supporting self-directed career design, restructuring the space for immersive learning, and fostering an SNS-based LMS (Learning Management System) for creativity and convergence in education.

In addition, the project has been striving to strengthen the competitiveness of the university education system’s response to the rapidly changing educational environment by supporting student-centered curricula for extra-curricular activities at various levels.

President Jeong said, “As a national flagship university in the region, CNU is fulfilling the goal of becoming the center of regional innovation. We will continue our efforts to cultivate excellence and balanced national development by actively utilizing the human, technical, and research resources of universities.
