CNU Records 1st among National Flagship Universities in the Teacher Certification Exam

275 CNU graduates passed the 2019 Teacher Appointment Test for Secondary Schools.

According to CNU, it recorded the largest number of passed applicants among national flagship universities in the 2019 Teacher Appointment Test for Secondary Schools for two consecutive years. 251 CNU graduates passed the exam in 2018.

The number of successful applicants nationwide regions is as follows: 116 in Jeollanamdo, 61 in Gwangju, 26 in Gyeong-gi, 24 in Jeonbuk, 10 in Daejeon, 7 in Seoul·Gangwon, and 6 in Incheon·Chungnam.

The number of successful applicants from the College of Education for each subject was more than 200 and the specific numbers are as follows: 45 for Special Education, 22 for Mathematics, 20 for Preschool Education, 15 for Home Economics Education, 14 for Physics, 13 for Physical Education, and 11 for Korean, History, and Geography respectively. In addition, graduates from Graduate School of Education (21 for Professional Consultants and 11 for Nutritionists) and non-education majors (8 for Health, 3 for Librarians, and 2 for Chemical Fibers) passed the exam. 

The increase is attributed to the efforts of the College of Education to offer major-oriented programs for career/job planning, customized support of professional career managers, various educational programs for the preparation of teacher appointment tests, and the undivided attention of faculty members.
