The CNU Healthy Breakfast Service has become an exemplary model for domestic universities.

In the morning of June 17, the Minister for Food, Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, Lee Gae-ho, accompanied by CNU students including Kim Ahn-hee (sophomore of the Department of German Language and Literature) at the cafeteria of the CNU’s Student Union Hall 1, had a CNU Healthy Breakfast and talked about the importance of having breakfast and the necessity to spread CNU’s Healthy Breakfast Service to the status of a full-fledged national campaign.

Minister Lee said, "It costs only 1,000 KRW, but the quality is excellent with good rice and the side dishes are well-prepared to suit students’ taste. I think it is very important for college students to have breakfast wherever they are, at home or at schools.

The Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries will launch a '1,000 Won Breakfast Campaign’ at 16 universities nationwide until November 15 to promote proper eating habits and the expansion of rice consumption.

The Healthy Breakfast Service is a successful and recognized student welfare policy of CNU, which it was first to introduce among national universities in 2015. It provides students and faculty members with a healthy breakfast at 1,000 KRW, only one-third of the whole price, while the university and the government pays the remaining balance.
