CNU has been selected as a partner institution for the 2024 Korea-Japan Student Exchange Program Project organized by the National Institute for International Education. Along with CNU, a total of 20 universities have been selected.
This program, running from September to December this year for four months, aims to enhance students' international capabilities through educational exchanges between Korean and Japanese university students and strengthen cooperation and mutual understanding between the future generations of Korea and Japan.
CNU has recommended five students as candidates for scholarships to study at sister universities in Japan during the upcoming semester. Students who are finally selected as exchange students through the National Institute for International Education’s review will receive support for airfare as well as a monthly academic support grant of 700,000 KRW for one semester.
In addition to this, CNU has also been selected for the 2024 Korea-Japan Joint Higher Education Student Exchange Program governed by the National Institute for International Education, which selected eight universities, and the 2024 Korea-Japan University Student Training Program by the Korea Student Aid Foundation, which selected nine universities.
With CNU being selected for all three new international exchange projects for university students between Korea and Japan promoted by the governmental agencies, the university's international stature and strategic efforts to enhance its glocal competitiveness are gaining further momentum.
For instance, CNU has been solidifying its position as a global talent-nurturing university by establishing robust global networks, including exchange agreements with 608 universities and 48 research institutions across 64 countries.
Professor Kook Min-suk, Director of the International Affairs Office, commented, "This selection reaffirms CNU's international capabilities. We will continue to grow as a global university in the world."
