The CNU Office of International Affairs (Director Professor Moon Ki-seok) held the Global Food Street event as a part of the Urban Regeneration New Deal Project from December 7th to 11th. The event aimed to promote communication between local residents of Buk-gu, Gwangju, and international students to cultivate global fellowship among attendees and spread awareness of cultural diversity.

The Global Food Street event was broadcasted through the YouTube channel of the Office of International Affairs. It consisted of the following specific sessions where international students at CNU introduced the recipes for their cuisine and processes to make craftwork: ▲ 'Bunmet' of Vietnam ▲ 'Boze' of Mongolia ▲ 'Beshvarmak' of Kyrgyzstan, and ▲ 'Marachango' of China. The video content has been uploaded on the YouTube channel of the Office of International Affairs so that everyone, including residents of Buk-gu, multicultural families, and international students can watch and share.

The CNU Office of International Affairs also distributed cultural experience kits to community centers and Jungheung Regional Children Care Center in Buk-gu in advance, so that participants could follow and experience aspects of the event through guidance videos posted on You Tube.
Despite the general stagnation of local cultural and artistic activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many people participated in the International Members Day event from November 9th to 13th, where international students introduced their own traditional cultures. CNU's online international cultural exchange programs are receiving great responses as they provide opportunities to experience global culture.
