CNU Office of Education Innovation Releases Guideline for ChatGPT to Bridge the Digital Divide

CNU has publicly released online lecture content on the usage of ChatGPT to bridge the digital education gap. On November 13, through the official YouTube channel of the Office of Education Innovation and the homepage of the Gwangju-Jeonnam University Distance Education Center, the content titled “Digital Literacy and ChatGPT” was made available. It aims to empower students and citizens interested in utilizing digital tools to read and use through smart devices.

The lecture, featuring Professor Kim Kyung-baek (Department of Artificial Intelligence Convergence), Seon Han-bit (Department of Korean Language and Literature), and Yoon Hyo-soon (Software-Centric University Project Division), explains topics such as ▲ understanding digital literacy, ▲ understanding ChatGPT, and ▲ understanding digital ethics. In particular, it provides easy-to-understand explanations about understanding and utilizing ChatGPT, a generative artificial intelligence that has gained public attention.

Professor Yang Young-hee, Director of the CNU Office of Education Innovation, stated, "Through the newly released content, we hope to foster students' correct understanding of recent topics such as digital ethics and enhance digital capabilities. We aim to fulfill our duty as a national flagship university by providing high-quality content to local residents."
