CNU Visits Alumni Associations in New York and Washington, D.C.

President Jung has expanded connections with overseas alumni by visiting alumni associations in New York and Washington, D.C., in the U.S.

The CNU delegation, consisting of President Jung, Alumni Association President Cho Seong-hee, and others, attended the New York Alumni Association's New Year's gathering on January 5 (local time). They exchanged New Year's greetings with President Kim Chang-wook ('88, Department of Physical Education) and over 50 alumni, sharing memories and updates about their alma mater and hometown.

On the following day, the delegation visited the Washington, D.C., Alumni Association, where they were welcomed by President Kang Yo-seob ('82, Department of Japanese Language and Literature) and more than 30 Washington alumni. Prior to the visit, the delegation paid tribute to the Korean War Memorial and expressed gratitude for the noble sacrifices made.

The CNU delegation conveyed the development of their alma mater and news about their hometown to American alumni, expressing gratitude for their support and interest. Overseas alumni deeply appreciated the direct updates on the university and hometown that they had only heard of occasionally and expressed their gratitude for the development of their alma mater and hometown.  

The CNU delegation left for Las Vegas on January 4 to attend the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world's largest international electronics exhibition on January 9, and to sign agreements with major U.S. universities.

President Jung expressed gratitude and respect to the New York Alumni Association and Washington, D.C., Alumni Association for upholding the honor of their alma mater in the local community and promised to further accelerate the university’s growth in the new year.
