CNU has secured the top position among national universities in seven categories of the 2024 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings.
The seven outstanding SDG Impact Ranking categories include ▲ No Poverty ▲ Good Health and Well-Being, ▲ Gender Equality, ▲ Clean Water and Sanitation, ▲ Responsible Consumption and Production, ▲ Climate Action, and ▲ Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.
In particular, CNU has demonstrated its global university standing by ranking 24th in No Poverty, 29th in Sustainable Agriculture such as Zero Hunger, and 52nd in Decent Work and Economic Growth in this evaluation covering 2,152 universities across 125 countries worldwide.
The THE World University Rankings has been conducted since 2019 by Times Higher Education based on the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), assessing universities' social responsibility performance.
CNU's achievements reflect its commitment to systematic fulfillment of social responsibilities and roles, highlighted by initiatives such as the establishment of the CNU ESG Committee last year and the publication of the CNU Sustainability Report. A notable program is the 50,000 Journey, where students explore strategies for sustainable development abroad.
President Jung stated, "As a leading national flagship university, we will continue to deliberate more on regional and national sustainable development, fulfilling our social responsibilities."
