Chonnam National University (CNU) successfully hosted the 2024 Yongbong Academic Festival from November 26-28, showcasing its research achievements and industry-academic collaboration efforts. Held across the campus, the festival presented a diverse array of projects conducted over the past year to faculty, students, and local residents.
The event, now an integrated celebration combining the Tech Fair by the Office of Industry-Academic Cooperation and the G-Fair by the Graduate School, offered richer content and engagement opportunities. This year’s festival was particularly significant, marking the 20th anniversary of the Office of Industry-Academic Cooperation and highlighting its vision of “Creating Future Value through the Convergence of Technology and Knowledge.”
Key highlights included presentations of patented technologies, technology commercialization initiatives, business consultations, and investment pitch sessions, all of which received enthusiastic responses. At the Graduate School Expo, 11 colleges participated, featuring 151 oral presentations and 364 posters to share research outcomes.
The festival attracted over 2,500 attendees, including students, faculty, staff, industry professionals, and local residents, strengthening ties between the university and the community.
Professor Jun-Seok Ha, Director of Industry-Academic Cooperation, emphasized the importance of fostering collaboration, stating, “We are committed to creating future value and promoting sustainable growth for both the university and the region.”
