CNU School of Dentistry (Dean: Kim Jae-hyung) carried out a dental medical volunteer program at the Dalcomi Leisure Village in Yeong-am County, South Jeolla Province, from January 11 to 12.

The volunteer work, led by the student council, involved over 40 participants, including professors, students, alumni, and residents of CNU Dental Hospital. The team provided oral health education, screening, and treatment for local residents.

The volunteer team offered personalized care, including tooth extractions, treatment for dental caries, scaling, fluoride application, TBI, tooth brushing education, and dental consultations. Professors and alumni actively participated to provide high-quality services. The team also visited local community centers to distribute toothpaste and toothbrushes, and engage with residents.

As a part of the regional national flagship university, CNU School of Dentistry is committed to improving oral health in the community. In 2024, it formed a medical volunteer support team and held a student dental medical volunteer activity gathering event, among other initiatives. The school has also actively engaged in volunteer activities abroad, including medical service in Nepal in 2023 and volunteer activity in Geomundo Island in 2024.
