CNU students have developed a program that automatically informs users of the turtleneck posture that occurs while using computers for a long time.

The 'Information Security 119' team (consisting of Shin Dong-hyuk [MA candidate] and three undergraduate students, Ko Young-hoon, Shin Myung-jin, and Han Seung-Joo) from the CNU Information Security Cooperation Program (Advisor Professor: Kim Gyeong-baek) developed a turtleneck notification program that uses the image of a webcam installed on a PC and artificial intelligence data to determine the posture. It aims to help correct bad posture that can be aggravated in the non-face-to-face environment.

This program won the Minister of Public Administration and Security Award at the 7th Software Development Security Contest held at COEX, Seoul, last month.

In addition, the “Bone” (consisting of MA candidates Kim Ga-young, Shin Mi-ju, Yoon Seong-su, and Lim Soo-min), another student research team, participated in the competition together by presenting “Safe Zone” an application for the Android platform which provides users maps of places with security lights and streetlights for the safe travel of citizens. It won its award from the director of the Internet Promotion Agency.

The winners are conducting research at the Graduate School of Energy and ICT Convergence Security, operated by the Core Talent Training Project for Regional Strategic Industry Convergence Security (Director: Professor Lee Sang-jun) in the Graduate School of Information Security Cooperation.
