CNU’s Yeosu Campus held an International Cultural Exchange Day online in response to the COVID-19 pandemic on December 3rd.

The CNU Global Education Center (Director Ko Seung-wook) also held an International Cooking Contest as part of the “Untact” International Cultural Exchange Day in accordance with the prevailing online environment due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
 
Twelve teams participated in the online match via Zoom and 4 teams went through the qualifying round and advanced to the finals. The Pakistani team (consisting of two members including Gondal Assid of the Biomedical Engineering Department) won first place, by presenting unique chicken dishes considered excellent in creativity, originality, and expressiveness. The Sri Lankan, the Uzbek, and the Chinese teams won the other prizes.

Director Ko Seung-wook said, “The social distancing caused by COVID-19 does not get rid of social connection among us. We will continue to expand the breadth of cultural exchange and mutual understanding among international students through various types of ‘untact’ events.”
