CNU students won third prize at the International Robot Contest.

The 'R&C,' a team of CNU students in the School of Electronics and Computer Engineering won the award of the Korea Robot Industry Promotion Agency (silver award, which is the third prize) in the Home Service Challenge category at the 2020 STEAM CUP IRC (International Robot Conference). The contest was governed by the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy and hosted by the Korea Robot Industry Promotion Agency and the Korea Robot Industry Association.

The Home Service Challenge section is a competition that focused on autonomous driving and “Pick & Place” missions using ROS-based Turtlebot 3 and a manipulator. CNU's ' R&C' team uses a basic Turtlebot 3 and a manipulator consists of Jackson nano board and Logitech's USB camera. It has been recognized for its excellent performance in areas such as speed and accuracy in detecting and moving x-objects.
