CNU ranked 430th, up 10 places from last year, in the evaluation of the World University Ranking Center by the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR), a non-profit educational organization.

CNU ranked number 430 out of 2,000 universities in the world in the CWUR World University Rankings 2021-2022, which was recently released by CWUR in Saudi Arabia. In Korea, it remained in 11th place just as last year and 2nd among national flagship universities.

CNU was also ranked 408th in the world in the Research Performance Rank.

CWUR's World University Rankings evaluates universities using 7 criteria: ▲ quality of education (the number of a university's alumni who have won major academic distinctions) ▲ alumni employment (the number of a university's alumni who have held top executive positions at the world's largest companies) ▲ quality of faculty (the number of faculty members who have won major academic distinctions) ▲ output of research papers ▲ high-quality publications of research papers ▲ influence of research papers and ▲ citation of research papers.

The CWUR World University Rankings is recognized for its credibility by determining the ranking of world universities only with quantitative indicators that can be x-objectively verified, not surveys or data submitted by universities.

Earlier in April, CNU significantly increased its ranking from the 301st - 400th range of the previous year to the 101st - 200th range this year in the World University Rankings 2021 released by THE (The Times Higher Education), a global university evaluation institution in the UK.

President Jung said, "CNU’s research capabilities that have been accumulated for a long time are now being recognized. In the future, we will try to produce more research results through active exchanges and joint research with the world's leading researchers."
