A consortium including CNU has been selected for the Semiconductor Advanced Packaging Workforce Development Project.

The consortium, comprising CNU, Chosun University, GIST, and Inha University (led by Professor Ha Jun-seok), will receive a total of 10.5 billion KRW over the next seven years from the Ministry of Science and ICT to train specialized personnel in semiconductor packaging.

To this end, CNU plans to establish a (tentative) Semiconductor Packaging Convergence Program for graduate students and to develop necessary joint courses and credit exchanges among participating universities, aiming to train advanced professionals at the master's and doctoral levels. Additionally, the university will ensure a stable supply of specialists to small and medium-sized enterprises in the relevant fields through a contract admission system and support technological research through collaborative industry-academia projects.

CNU aims to leverage existing collaborations, including a joint semiconductor research center, an energy convergence research support center, and a semiconductor specialization university support project to take the lead in the semiconductor packaging sector, which has become a key focus in semiconductor technology competition.
