CNU Signed Cooperation Agreement with the May 18 Democratization Movement Truth Commission

CNU promised to actively cooperate with the May 18 Democratization Movement Truth Commission in the various projects for truth-finding and in the identification of victims.

CNU signed a cooperation agreement with the May 18 Democratization Movement Truth Commission (Director: Song Seon-tae) at the Reception Room on the fifth floor of the University Headquarters on the April 12, and agreed to cooperate with each other in various investigation activities.

On this day, the two institutions agreed to cooperate in ▲ the establishment of research database for the investigation of facts related to the May 18 Democratization Movement, ▲ basic research for the identification of victims of the May 18 Democratization Movement and their families, and ▲ the sharing of document and records for truth-finding germane to the May 18 Democratization Movement, pursuing follow-up projects regarding the partnership.

Participants who finished the ceremony took a walk along the “Democracy Trail” which connects historical locations at CNU regarding the history of said democratization movement, which took place at CNU. 

President Jung said, "As CNU was the epicenter of May 18, we will cooperate with all the resources we have to contribute to fact-finding for May 18, data archiving, and the identification of victims."
