CNU received a grade of “A,” which is the highest grade of Type I (Voluntary agreement type), in the 2nd-year annual evaluation and 1st-3rd year comprehensive evaluation of the University Innovation Support Project hosted by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea.

CNU received excellent evaluations in the 2nd-year evaluation of the project, which supports the establishment of a future-oriented, creative-prospects nurturing system through autonomous innovation of universities, with the aim of achieving the goals of education, research, and industry-university cooperation programs and for systematically establishing a project management organization.

In addition, in the comprehensive evaluation, CNU received high scores in overall evaluation indicators such as operation performance, appropriateness of project cost execution, operation management, and overall performances, which were pursued in line with the goal of entering the top 300 global universities, and received the highest grade of “A.”

The annual evaluation is divided into five regions across the country, and the project cost is differentially allocated in accordance with the evaluation results.

Previously, CNU laid the foundation for educational innovation, such as ▲ establishment of a cutting-edge department centered on AI convergence university ▲ promotion of autonomous innovation tailored to the characteristics of each department/major ▲ various programs to nurture convergence capabilities and the future research generation.

In addition, it has built a future-oriented education system in response to social changes, such as the development of a non-face-to-face test platform, CNU-Exam, a high participation rate in the teaching method competency strengthening program in preparation for distance-learning classes, and the operation of a visiting counselor system for student mental health management.

President Jung said, “Universities must play a leading role in nurturing prospects required by the times. CNU will do its best to solve social problems and preemptively respond to regional innovation as a regional flagship national university.”
