The bereaved family of the late CNU President Roh Seong-man donated an additional 48 million won to CNU. With this, the total of the university development fund donated by President Roh and his family reached 100 million KRW.

On September 16, Han Jo-ja, the representative of bereaved family members of the former President Roh, visited President Jung and delivered the donation, saying, “According to the will of the deceased, who loved the university and his students, please use this donation to contribute to the development of the school.”

President Jung said, “Former President Roh was a great teacher for me and the members of the school, and a pioneer of the future of the university. We will use the donation meaningfully and preciously to uphold the will of the deceased, who dedicated his life to the development of the school and the nurturing of future generations.”

Former President Roh was born in Gwangju in 1939, studied at Gwangju Je-il High School and CNU School of Medicine, and served as a professor for the rest of his life at his alma mater medical school. He served as the Director of CNU Hospital and the 15th President of CNU before he passed away last August.
