CNU will build the Democratic History Memorial Hall, where the history of the democratization movement will be exhibited. The place will also function as a visitor center on the Democratic Trail.

CNU held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Democratic History Memorial Hall at the CNU ROTC building at 10:30 am on December 30th, 2020 and began full-scale construction.

The Democratic History Memorial Hall is a two-story building on the current CNU ROTC district's 990㎡ (approximately 300 pyeong) area with the 1st floor containing a democracy education hall, a video room, a conference room, and a multipurpose hall. There is an exhibition hall on the 2nd floor where various historical materials and videos related to the democratization movement are displayed and screened.

The exterior wall of the building is set to use Chungseok, the exterior material of the former CNU Museum which was demolished for the construction of the CNU Digital Library to preserve vestiges of old buildings at CNU.

The CNU ROTC was moved to the nearby Creation Hall and the CNU ROTC building will be transformed into the Future Education Center.
