CNU Selected as an Excellent Institution in the Performance Evaluation of the Regional and Industrial Customized Human Resource Development Project

The Regional and Industrial Customized Human Resource Development Project Team from CNU’s Yeosu campus (Director: Professor Kim Kyung-Min, School of Electrical, Electronic Communication, and Computer Engineering), hereafter referred to as the project group, received the highest grade of A for its first three years of operation in the project performance evaluation hosted by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea. 

The project group also secured a budget of 300 million KRW to purchase training equipment related to the 4th industrial revolution, such as comprehensive control gadgets for smart factory IoT.

Under the support of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the project group is operating free training courses for university graduates and unemployed people, as well as training programs tailored to local industries to strengthen the job competencies of small and medium-sized enterprises’ employees.

The project group also operates an average of 20 training programs every year, contributing to strengthening the job competencies of workers of more than 600 small and medium-sized enterprises annually.

In addition, the project team will build practice equipment required for the 4th industrial revolution such as comprehensive control gadgets for smart factory IoT with a project budget of about 200 million KRW. Furthermore, about 100 million KRW research grant as well as the smart grid (solar/wind power/hydrogen/fuel cell) integrated education experimental device, which is essential equipment in the new and renewable energy field, through the 2021 Competition Support program for New Technology and New Industries hosted by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea. This facility will be shared with departments and other business groups which conduct similar research.
