The institute plays a crucial role in helping people of all ages and backgrounds pursue continuous learning and personal development.

Each year, the Lifelong Education Institute offers a wide range of educational courses and certificate programs designed to equip learners with the skills and qualifications necessary for both personal and professional growth. Some of the key certificate programs include Senior Model, Speech Leader, Welfare Horticulturist, Ocarina Instructor, Psychological Counselor, Play Therapy Counselor, and Yakseon Tea and Cuisine Instructor. Urban Agriculture Manager Certification

Chonnam National University provides educational opportunities for individuals aiming to become certified Urban Agriculture Managers, with the goal of fostering professionals in urban agriculture. Humanities Community Competency Instructor Certification Program

Chonnam National University's Institute for Humanities is the first in the nation to issue the 'Humanities Community Competency Instructor' private certification. This certification program is designed to cultivate professionals who use humanities knowledge and values to address community issues and foster development through humanities-based communication.

To obtain the certification, candidates must complete a curriculum accredited by the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training. The required subjects include foundational humanities community theory, personal competency development (self-discovery and writing, self-care), relational competency (ethics of care, conflict and peace seminars), and spatial competency (history and place-making workshops, curation of historical and cultural resources). After completing these courses, candidates must pass a certification exam.

The Humanities Community Competency Instructor is responsible for planning and managing educational and activity programs in various communities, including families, schools, villages, and cities.
