Chonnam National University Guidelines for the Prevention and Handling of Human Rights Violations and Discrimination
Chonnam National University implemented the Guidelines for the Prevention and Handling of Human Rights Violations and Discrimination on May 31, 2022. These guidelines define discrimination as any action that disadvantages individuals or creates an unfair environment based on factors such as sex, race, skin color, language, religion, political or other opinions, national or social origin, membership in a minority group, property, birth, or any other status.

Increasing Female Participation in Decision-Making Bodies
Chonnam National University is committed to increasing female faculty participation in internal decision-making bodies. To support this goal, the following measures have been implemented:
- The Personnel Committee includes at least 20% female members.

- The Finance Committee regulations were amended to ensure a minimum of 20% female representation.
- The Gender Equality Committee for Faculty Appointment includes at least 30% female members.

- One of the two Vice Presidents of the Faculty Association is appointed by the President, based on a recommendation from the Association of Female Professors.
