Chonnam National University operates an on-site daycare center to provide care for infants and young children of the university community and the local area. This facility creates an environment where both men and women, including couples, can focus on their work or studies while promoting gender equality.
 

Eligibility for the daycare center primarily includes children of Chonnam National University members, such as students, faculty, part-time lecturers, contract employees, and children of Kwangju Bank employees.

Through the university daycare, parents can participate in various activities with their children, even during work hours.

Family Love Activity
Purpose: To allow parents and children to experience traditional games at various locations within the daycare, promoting family-friendly activities and communication between parents, children, and across generations.

Parent's Workplace Visit
Purpose: In celebration of Family Month in May, children visit their parents' workplaces within the university to express gratitude, gain insight into their parents' work, and learn about different professions.

Lunchbox Date
Purpose: Parents and children share meals provided by the daycare (such as kimbap, inari sushi, dessert) together at various spots on the university campus, other than the daycare dining hall. This fosters parent-child communication, lets them enjoy the seasonal weather, and strengthens family bonds.
