Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Energy Consumption Statement

Chonnam National University actively contributes to sustainable development and environmental protection by annually reporting its greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption to the Ministry of Environment, in accordance with the "Basic Act on Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth for Coping with the Climate Crisis" and the "Act on the Allocation and Trading of Greenhouse Gas Emissions Allowances." This reporting is part of the university's efforts to accurately measure and manage its carbon emissions, laying the groundwork for responding to climate change and creating a sustainable campus environment.

The university implements various strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. These include adopting technologies to improve energy efficiency, increasing the use of renewable energy, encouraging the use of bicycles on campus, and enhancing waste reduction and recycling programs.
