1-1 Scholarship for Students with Disabilities

1-2 Chonnam National University's scholarship guidelines
 

Article 9 (Priority Selection for Scholarships) The following individuals may be given priority in scholarship selection and awarded scholarships:

  1. Persons of national merit or their children
  2. North Korean defectors or their children
  3. Residents of child welfare facilities
  4. Recipients of national basic livelihood security or their children
  5. Students selected for the National Scholarship Type I
  6. Students participating in exchanges between the Yeongnam and Honam regions
  7. Students admitted through the rural area student admissions process
  8. Athletes with special talents
  9. Students with severe disabilities
  10. Recipients of family scholarships
  11. ROTC cadets
  12. Individuals recognized as needing tuition support due to financial hardship or similar reasons

Article 4 (Selection of Residents) Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph 1, priority is given in the following cases:

  1. Residents outside of Gwangju who are national merit recipients or their direct descendants, recognizing their service and contributions.
  2. Registered students with disabilities and children who have aged out of care, amended on November 16, 2021, to support students facing unique challenges.
  3. Residents outside of Gwangju who are recipients of national basic livelihood security or belong to the lower-income bracket, acknowledging the financial hurdles they face.
  4. International students, to foster a diverse and global campus community.
  5. Exchange students, promoting international collaboration and cultural exchange.
  6. Residents from the previous semester who scored 10 points, rewarding academic excellence and commitment.
  7. Cases deemed necessary by the director for university evaluation, allowing for flexibility in addressing unforeseen needs or opportunities
By implementing these prioritization criteria, Chonnam National University aims to create a supportive dormitory community that addresses the needs of its diverse student body, ensuring that all students, especially those with disabilities, have access to safe and accommodating housing.
