1. Chonnam National University Human Rights Center
 
Chonnam National University has established the Human Rights Center based on the solemn declaration of Article 10 of the Constitution of the Republic of Korea, which states, "All citizens shall be entitled to human dignity and value and have the right to pursue happiness. The state has the duty to confirm and guarantee the inviolable basic rights of individuals."

The Human Rights Center operates independently. Human rights include dignity, value, freedom, and rights recognized by the constitution and international treaties, and broadly define human rights violations, including sexual harassment and violence.

[Organization and Work]

The Human Rights Center has a Human Rights Counseling Office, an Operating Committee, a Sexual Harassment and Violence Prevention Committee, and a Human Rights Violation Deliberation Committee, staffed with professional counselors and administrative personnel.
 
Human Rights Counseling Office: Handles reports, consultations, investigations, and mediation of human rights violations and discrimination cases.

Operating Committee: Deliberates and decides on important operational matters of the Human Rights Center.

Sexual Harassment and Violence Prevention Committee: Deliberates on matters related to the promotion and education for gender equality and prevention of sexual harassment, sexual exploitation, sexual violence, domestic violence; handling of sexual harassment and violence cases; and measures for prevention and recurrence of sexual harassment and violence.

Human Rights Violation Deliberation Committee: Deliberates on matters related to the promotion and education for the protection of human rights and the enhancement of human rights awareness, processing of human rights violations and discrimination cases excluding sexual harassment and violence, decisions and mediation on the occurrence of human rights violations and discrimination, opinions on discipline, and measures for the prevention and recurrence prevention of human rights violations and discrimination.

2. Gender Equality Committee
