CNU held its entrance ceremony for the 2024 academic year at Minju Maru on February 29, celebrating new beginnings for incoming freshmen.

During the ceremony, there were entrance declarations for a total of 6,683 students, comprising 5,151 undergraduates, 1,268 master's students, and 264 doctoral candidates. Commendations were also given to 18 outstanding freshmen from 18 departments and four outstanding new graduate students. 

These students will officially begin their classes from March 4, the first day of the spring semester.

Cho Seong-hee, president of the CNU Alumni Association, congratulated the students, saying, “I hope that you will develop your dreams and hopes at CNU, which symbolizes democracy, human rights, and peace.”  
CNU President Jung Sung-taek said, “Seeing you all filled with anticipation and excitement reminds me of myself sitting here 44 years ago. I hope you will become confident and free CNU member who fearlessly embrace challenges, possess the courage to rise after failures, and become confident and free individuals at CNU. Although the future may be uncertain, you will finally be able to achieve your dream if you nurture the seed of your dream in the space and time of CNU.”
