CNU is taking extensive steps to improve its status as a global university and expanding its overseas network.

As a part of its glocal strategy, the CNU delegation visited Mongolia to strengthen cooperation with six local universities from March 10 - 14.

The visiting delegation from CNU, including Professor Kook Min-suk (director of the External and Global Engagement Office) and Professor Lee Myoung-Gyu (director of the Academic Affairs Office), visited its partner universities such as the National University of Mongolia, the Mongolian International University, and the International University of Ulaanbaatar. They also visited the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, the Mongolian National University of Education, and the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences for new collaboration.

Mongolia is known for its high educational fervor per capita and its production of excellent talent globally. The visiting delegation from CNU met with local university officials to confirm the excellent educational environment and research capabilities.

Mongolian universities are also actively engaging in exchanges with CNU.

In particular, the president of the National University of Mongolia plans to visit CNU in June to advance various collaboration initiatives between the two universities, ranging from student and faculty exchanges to academic and research fields.

Furthermore, the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences aims to expand the existing network between the two university hospitals to the university level.

Previously, CNU discussed the establishment of an international campus with China’s Wenzhou University in September last year and agreed to cooperate on bioeducation with Hanoi Medical University in Vietnam in the same month. Furthermore, CNU recently expanded student exchanges and discussed joint research with Japan, making broad moves.
