CNU will run a 4-week International Summer School (ISS, hereafter) program for Japanese university students from Aug 2. The ISS is planned to serve various purposes to provide Japanese university students with a special opportunity to promote understanding and interest towards Korea and to seek two-way globalization. This summer term will be the third such ISS program, which started last summer. 18 students from eight universities, such as Kokushikan University, Kobe University, Waseda University, Osaka City University, Ritsumeikan University, Nagasaki University, Meijo University and Iwate University shall participate. Those members will attend Korean classes in the morning and enjoy various activities of Namdo culture experiences in the afternoon, co-organized by the CNU Office of International Affairs and the Gwangju International Center. Each of the participants will be paired with a CNU student to facilitate international exchange throughout the whole period.
