As of February 1, CNU executed its reorganization of administrative systems. In order to cope efficiently with changing situations, to enhance the competitiveness of students and faculty members, and to raise the effectiveness of administrative services, CNU carried out the reorganization. This is the first change of administrative organization the University has seen in four years. Human Resources Development Center, International Exchange Center, and University Public Relation Office were newly established. The administration offices for each graduate school were abolished. Career Center, Employment Information Center, and Counseling Center had been incorporated into one office named ‘Human Resources Development Center.’ The Center will promote students’ employment and provide job-related services for the students. The newly established ‘International Exchange Center’ will provide one-stop services for international and CNU students as well for their studies at CNU and other foreign universities. For the operation of the University Public Relation Center, six vice-deans of administrative offices, 14 vice-deans of the colleges, and five vice-deans of the graduate schools were appointed. To tide over the administrative inefficiency, CNU introduced a new system designed to optimize customer service operations for the university administration. The university will expand the educational programs for administrative staff members to settle down a student-center, user-friendly administrative and service infrastructure on the CNU campus. CNU has experienced rapid growth in virtually every facet of university operations: student enrollment, breadth of academic programs, research programs, and community outreach activities. Improved support services and expanded infrastructure is necessary to sustain the activities of CNU
s current faculty, staff, and students as well as to address future growth and development. For this project, CNU organized a special committee for university reorganization.
