Summer Semester operated jointly by CNU-Missouri Univ, USA (June 21st ~July 20nd)

- Two professors from the University of Missouri-Columbia will give lectures at CNU. - 8 students from each university will have classes together - One month of ‘Family Relationship’, Globalization of Korean Culture by Visiting of Historic Sites and Korean Traditional Culture Experience CNU introduced the excellence of Korean Culture to the World with the Joint Operation of Summer Semester with its sister university, the University of Missouri-Columbia. CNU is operating the large scale of internalization program, such as the assistance of oversea training course to its 1,000 students. Meanwhile it invited foreign students and professors to CNU for the globalization of Korean Culture. The Summer Semester is a program intended to the globalization of Korean Culture. Prof. Duane Daniel Rudy and Prof. Kimberly Kay Leon of Dept of Family and Human Development in Missouri will give lectures for a month from June 21st to July 20th in CNU campus. 8 students from CNU and 8 students from the University of Missouri will attend the classes. CNU students can get credits for

and M. U. students can get credits for
Multicultural Study on Children and Family
Prof. Kim Bong-jung (Dept of History) and Prof. Kim Kyong-shin (Living Science College) will give special lectures with the titles of
Korean History
and
Korean Family History and Family Composition
. The students will experience of Korean Culture by visiting Sosaewon, May 18 Cemetery Park, Bosung Tea Garden, Nak-an Korean Traditional Village, T.V. show of Korean Traditional Song Class, experience of tea culture in Gwangju Hyang Kyo, Making of vessels made of earth, and temple stay. 5 days of their stay they will have home stay and they can experience Korean home culture. CNU expected that this will be an opportunity to deepen the understanding of Korean Culture by foreigners and to enhance the exchange of international academic and culture exchange with sister university through this Summer Semester.
