Reading Classics Helps Students Enter University.

CNU announced \\
five must-reads for high school students\\
on Jan. 28th for the first time nationwide. Those five books are \\
Three Korean Kingdoms\\

Chance and Necessity\\
, \\
Faust\\
, \\
the Analects of Confucius\\
and \\
The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit Capitalism\\
. All of them shed light on both the Oriental and Occidental worlds through various topics of humanities, economics, philosophy and natural science. CNU aims to strengthen the ties between high school and university education through the reading of classics such as these and hence to screen high school graduates with rich foundational knowledge and widened the scope of thinking from incoming students. Reading classics will especially be highly regarded in the 2011 Admissions Officer entrance procedure where students with ideals of \\
Truth, Creativity and Service\\
shall be highly sought after.
