CNU Holding International Winter Session Targeting Students from Japan.

This three-week long program is being held for the second time with the purpose of promote understanding and interest towards Korea and bidirectional globalization of the university. 45 Japanese students from Kokushikan University, Kobe University and Doshisha University are participating in the program. The education program consists of basic Korean language class and a Jeollanamdo culture experience program that includes making Jeonnam dishes, learning Taekwondo and traditional Korean percussion music. Also, the program schedule is designed to offer opportunities to visit the May 18th Cemetery, a traditional marketplace and Yeongam Wangin Heritage Site and learn about the local history. A Korean textbook was written by the university is going to be used during the program. To promote a more meaningful education, CNU gathered nine student-helpers and 23 buddies to make friends with the Japanese students. Those classes will be acknowledged as credit hours at universities in Japan upon completion of the program.
