The following programs: Mechanical Systems Engineering, Energy and Resources Engineering, the Information Science major in Electronics and Computer Engineering, the Chemical Science major in Applied Chemical Engineering and Environmental Engineering are going to operate internationally recognized engineering curricula named the Washington Accord. Students in any of the five programs will be considered to have completed an educational course of similar quality with that provided in the U.S., U.K. and Japan, and thus, have better opportunities for employment and other fields of activity. Member countries of the Washington Accord are currently 17 countries including the U.S., U.K., Japan, Ireland, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Germany, Malaysia, Russia, Sri Lanka and India.
