The CNU Special English camp for first-year students, called “Jump In,” provides students to better develop global minds and improve their understanding toward campus life. The Office of Academic Affairs announced that a three-week camp will run for 300 incoming freshmen from the early admission process from Jan 11th to 29th. The camp consists of 90 hours of English class, six hours for special lecture, nine hours for group activity and group counseling for 15 hours. Eight hours of intensive education is provided every day during the whole three-week period. During classroom hours, only English can be used with the purpose of improving English proficiency and a debate/remarks-focused program will enable participating students to build self-confidence in English. The camp especially stresses providing new-incoming students with opportunities to experience how to study in university and design their solid future goals and plans before attending university.
