CNU Builds a Firm Cornerstone for Global University in U.S.

CNU President, Kim Yoon-soo, Director of Office of Planning, Suh, Soonpal, the Vice President of International Affairs, Shin Gyonggu, and Song Kyungan, the General Manager for Academic Affairs Policy, visited the U.S. for five days from Jan 8th and concluded an exchange agreement with the University of California at Irvine where Dr. Michael Drake is the President. UC Irvine is one of the most-recognized state universities in California with UCLA and UC Berkeley always graded excellently in medical science and telecommunications & IT. UC Irvine has positioned itself within the world’s top 100 universities measured by the Times Higher Education-QS with outstanding research outcomes in fields of arts, humanities, natural sciences and social sciences. CNU plans to design schedules for research on themes of mutual interest; exchange students/professors; conduct cultural and art exchanges and manage joint research in certain fields and joint academic symposiums. It is expected that UC Irvine and CNU can establish a joint research structure where the Asian Law Research Center and Law School at respective schools can collaborate together. President Kim and the officers who accompanied him also visited the University of Utah where Dr. Michael Young is the President and concluded mutual agreements for student exchanges and joint research and further to sign an MOU, Memorandum of Understanding, at CNU.
