Yoo met CNU President Kim and the accompanying officers and donated the money, saying 'I've decided to donate to CNU for its continued development into a global university'.

Especially, Roh Dong-il, a leader at alumni community in the College of Law also went there to add a special meaning to Yoo's donation since Yoo is neither from Gwangju nor the Jeollanam-do region. The two met during their military service and have built strong friendship since then. Yoo mentioned that he became interested and warm-hearted towards CNU because of his friend, Roh.
