President Kim attended an opening ceremony at the Global Human Resource Forum 2009 which was co-sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Science, Hankuk Economy and the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training on November 4th. The main subject of the forum was 'Creative Education for All" and topics regarding education improvement and government policies for educating creative human resources, advancing corporate interests and the role of public sector, and internationally collective efforts were heavily discussed. A 'Fair for Meeting and Communication' was made for participating organizations to have opportunities to obtain what each need, such as obtaining idea for policies at the government, securing and educating qualified human resource at the corporate level and researching information on current trends of human resource development in the academic world.

He also visited the Embassy Office of Germany in Seoul at the invitation from Dr. and Mrs. Hans-Ulrich Seidt for their reception of Gerhard Schr?er, the former German Chancellor. President Kim had participated in the reception to celebrate the 20th anniversary of German unification on October 9th.

Those efforts are made as a part of the President's focus on the 'Incoming of the International'. He said that 'Only one student enjoys many benefits of staying abroad when we send him/her; however, many students can grow international sense when we invite a foreign student.' He will continuously put an effort to expand the scope of international relationships from Asia to U.S. and Europe.
