On November 22, CNU College of Agriculture & Life Sciences conferred special scholarships of 750,000 won each to all of the international students in masters
or doctorate programs at the College. The College has granted scholarships to international students from sister universities, but from the 2004 fall semester every foreign student will be awarded the scholarships. The scholarship funds were provided by President Kim Bok-yong of Maeil Dairy Industry Ltd. and the College will expand the scholarship funds for students in order to strengthen the international competitiveness of the College. A total of twelve international students (one Vietnamese, five Cambodians, and six Chinese) are currently studying at the College for their advanced degrees.
