Prof. Jeon Seung-won to Be Awarded the Academic Excellence by the Korean Chemical Society

Prof. Jeon Seung-won in the Dept. of Chemistry, College of Natural Sciences, will receive the Award of Academic Advancement from the Korean Chemical Society. The Korean Chemical Society (KCS) announced Prof. Jeon was selected as an award-winner in recognition of his great contribution to the development of academic field of chemistry. Jeon has presented a large number of research articles to domestic and international journals. At the 93rd general meeting of the KCS, to be held at the Federation of Korean Industries Building for two days from April 22, Prof. Jeon will be awarded. Under the guidance of Prof. Jeon, the Analytical Chemical Lab has produced outstanding research achievements related with dioxygen chemistry, sensor technology, electrochemistry and spectroscopy of conduction polymers, etc. To date, he authored fifty treatises, introduced in SCI journals. He has greatly contributed to the development of chemistry research field. Prof. Jeon served as secretary of the KCS. He is currently working as a member of the KCS, the Korean Electrochemical Society, and the American Chemical Society. He is also an editor of the Korean Electrochemical Society journals. The Korean Chemical Society with 58-year-long history is a member of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) and the Federation of Asian Chemical Societies (FACS) on behalf of the chemical community of Korea. The KCS is publishing the following research journals for the purpose of rapid distribution of research information in the field of pure and applied chemistry to the chemical community worldwide. About five thousand researchers join the society as members.
