College of Business Administration Offers International Trade Education Program in China to 60 Students

60 Business Administration students will take part in the International Trade Education Program to be held in China this summer. Dean Kang Tae-koo of the College said a total of 60 students (40 students of the Faculty of Business Administration and 20 students of the Faculty of Economics) will take part in the International Trade Education Program for seven days from July 13 through 19. The program will be held in Beijing and Tianjin, China. This program, sponsored by the Korean Society of Culture and Trade, the Korea Research Academy of Distribution Information, and the Korea Logistics Research Association, will be offered to two hundred college students. CNU Business Administration College has decided to provide financial supports for the students to participate in the program. 200,000 won from the entire registration fee of 430,000 won will be offered to each student. The purpose of this program is to prepare students to acquire the necessary basic skills to enter an entry level position in the field of international trade. This program is open to highly motivated, self-directed students who want to upgrade their skills and knowledge in the field of international trade. Participants will join a wide range of events including special lectures on international trade to be given on the ship, visits to manufacturing factories in China, group study activities, and essay reports. They will also visit Beijing
s number-one shopping street Wangfujing Dajie, Peking University, and other famous places as well. A business administration college official said, “The program offers our students the opportunity to gain practical knowledge in the international trade field of study, which has been obtained so far from classrooms. Participation in the program will improve the students’ understanding of Chinese international trade practices and methodologies as well as enable the students to gain valuable insight into Chinese culture and society, which will be used to design the future of international trade in Korea.” The CNU College of Business Administration is endeavoring to expand its education capacity including the library and its book collection. It has also its own job information center to help the students find appropriate jobs. The college has set up computer and language labs as well. The College has provided English-speaking lectures for major courses and interdisciplinary education programs, and a student internship program. Thanks to diverse efforts to enhance the competitiveness, the College of Business Administration ranked 1st among 14 colleges at CNU at the assessment of the vision plans drawn up by each college for its future development.
