CNU produced 4,000 graduates and blessed their futures.

3,981 graduates (3,159 Bachelors, 672 Masters, and 150 Doctorates) were informed that they would receive their degrees in person from departmental offices.

Therefore, CNU indirectly conferred certificates of PHS (President Honor Students) to eleven students including Jeon Yong-uk (School of Mechanical Engineering), prizes in excellent student record awards to 164 graduates including Kim Hyun-myung (Department of Nursing), and CNU alumni awards to 19 graduates including Choi Jae-hyuk (College of AI Convergence).

281 graduates received excellent social service awards, exemplary student awards, distinguished services awards, and top honors awards from each college.

Previously CNU had canceled the graduation ceremony, which was originally scheduled on February 26, and informed graduates to receive their diplomas through their departments from February 24 due to the prevalence of COVID-19.

After the additional cancellation of photo zone installations and the rental service for graduation gowns & mortars, each department has congratulated graduates with a simple commemorative photo alongside professors and fellow students on February 24.

President Jeong posted a farewell letter online, “Life is not about speed, but about direction and the fight with oneself. Lift your head and look at the distance, imagine a valuable life that benefits people and take the lead in opening a happy world together.”

He added, “If you only want to walk on the glorious path, you should prepare the road first, and if you want to live a successful life, you have to place efforts first. With courage, hope, and an indomitable spirit, you should go through the rugged mountains of life.”

He also added to CNU Alumni members and local residents, “Please embrace our graduates with understanding and a caring heart. Lead them to grow up equipped with the knowledge of the way of the world.”
