CNU’s College of Business and Graduate School of Business Administration have achieved international accreditation for the third consecutive time for the quality of their overall management education, solidifying their status as a global standard in the field of business education.

CNU’s College of Business Administration (Dean Lee Sang-joon) and Graduate School of Business (Dean Kwak Sang-hyun) received an official notification from The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) on June 29 that the International Business Education Accreditation was confirmed.

Following the initial accreditation in 2012 and the reaccreditation in 2018, CNU has now received consecutive reaccreditations for all its educational programs, including undergraduate, master’s, specialized master’s, and doctoral courses, confirming their quality at an international level.

AACSB, founded in 1916 by leading university deans in the United States, is a non-profit accreditation body that evaluates continuous efforts and improvements in education curricula required by prestigious business schools worldwide. Institutions such as Harvard University, Columbia University, and Yale University hold AACSB accreditation.

In Korea, 14 universities have been accredited, and only two in the region, CNU and Kyungpook National University. In particular, CNU’s Graduate School of Business is the only graduate school of business that has received AACSB accreditation among regional business schools.

AACSB conducts initial accreditations based on various educational indicators, such as university development strategies, faculty capabilities, strategies for attracting outstanding students, curriculum excellence, and educational environment. After the initial accreditation, AACSB conducts reaccreditation evaluations every five years to determine the maintenance of accreditation.

Professor Kim Jae-ho, former dean of the College of Business, who supervised the reaccreditation process, stated that “AACSB reaccreditation guarantees that the education capacity and environment of CNU’s College of Business Administration and Graduate School of Business are at a global standard. It will also expand CNU students’ opportunities to study abroad as well as serve as an opportunity to promote exchanges with foreign universities and boost the development of global talent.“
