The week-long CNU local volunteer national expedition, which took place from July 25 to July 31, concluded successfully. At the closing ceremony held in front of Minjumaru on July 31, all participating students completed the 77km expedition without any dropouts and returned with bright smiles on their faces, despite the scorching heatwave conditions they endured.

During the expedition, which traversed the entire route on foot from the Gwangju campus of CNU to the Yeosu campus, participants, including over 50 students and staff, supported each other and boosted their spirits.

This national expedition also included volunteer activities to help flood-affected farming communities in Naju, Boseong, and Yeosu.

On the second day of the expedition, participants visited Wolrang Village in Naju to clean up vinyl houses as part of flood recovery efforts. They also engaged in coastal volunteer activities to clean up marine debris in Gaeksan Village, Boseong, and the Hwayang area of Yeosu.
 
A procession of supporters cheered on the students participating in the national expedition. President Jung walked approximately 12km with students in the Boseong area on July 27. The university’s faculty and staff also joined in, encouraging the students taking part in the national expedition.
